A lot of weird beef/non-beef happening these days. Our colleagues at MTV News are reporting that T.I. got into a scuffle with Ludacris yesterday at a pre-BET Awards luncheon thrown by music exec Kevin Liles. We’re guessing T.I.’s alter ego, T.I.P–the one with all the swagger and temper, reportedly punched Luda’s manager, Chaka Zulu in the face.
And while we’re looking forward to some good dis tracks to come out of this hostility, we certainly don’t condone wilding out at a charity function that is supposed to be promoting the positive that hip hop can do! Come on guys, keep the beef on wax! There’s so much more you can accomplish by not acting like children. Like, maybe, help the children?
Take 50 Cent and Maino, for example. Everyone knows 50 and Lil’ Kim had some major beef a bit ago because either 50 or Interscope or somebody wouldn’t let Kim put out a video/single of Magic Stick. But lookey here: Kim is all friendly with Young Buck [who is still firmly planted in G-Unit] and now her right hand just signed on with 50.
Moral of the story: you don’t have to be best friends to make good money.
