Man I just saw the preview of this on MTV, and all I heard y’all talkin about was T.I., Lil’ Wayne, and Game. Respect to Game, he’s killin’ it right now like y’all said on the mixtape game…but if y’all gonna talk about the mixtape game, you GOTTA mention PAPOOSE!!!! He hasn’t even had an album yet and he’s made a name for himself, he’s a lyrical genius, plus he can rap about stuff that matters, if y’all heard that ‘50 shots’ joint with the Sam Cooke sample, that was hot right there. So I hope y’all dont disappoint me when i watch the program.

Okay so I watched MTV’S hot MC’s of 2007 special, and it angered me deeply.
The list is as follow
1. Lil Wanye
2. T.I.
3.The Game
4.Andre 3000
5.Kanye West
6.Young Jeezy
7. Jay Z
8.50 Cent
9.Common
10. Jim Jones
Okay I was just pissed off at the way in which they evaluated the MC’s it was based on swagger and hustle. I did not know that MCing had become a sport of pimping and hustling. I had no clue. I think that the list should have been based on the damn music. Jim Jones, and 50 Cent are just plain unexceptable. Seriously 50 Cent should just sell vitamin water and sit his ass down, it unbelivably unexceptable to lip sync to rap lyrics (2007 BET performance) if that can be called a performace. Seriously he used to have great singles, but he does not even have that anymore WTF. Okay Jim Jones, For real, I am just gonna put on a belt buckle tape some taco meat to my face and start rhyming, Sure he had the wonderful single “ballin” and I do find him a bit intresting, but he is definitely not in the top ten. The Game is also a bit questionable, Jeezy is also. I keep that white girl “Get the f**k out of here”
Where is Dead Prez, Mos def, Talib Kweli, Black Thought or Jean Grae. This list shows me that Hip hop is ailing, I do not belive it is dead, but if judge rappers on how much swagger they have and demote lyrics to a secondary criteria, it is on, hip hop is defintely on its sick bed. Or maybe hip hop is changing and I do not like the way it is changing.
