Everyone knows about Kenna by now, right?
He’s that post-modern feeling but still retro rocker with pop sensibilities but banging hip hop beats? He’s from Virgina by way of Ethiopia, and has long been associated with Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes…he’s opened up a few shows for Timbo’s partner JT…as well as hottie Furtado…and he’s the subject of an entire chapter in Malcolm Gladwell’s book BLINK….anyway if all that doesn’t ring a bell yet, it will soon. Watch MTV2 on October 8 when Kenna’s first single “Say Goodbye To Love” begins to spin. This single and Kenna’s second album is much anticipated…(since his first album, New Sacred Cow became an underground classic…) but if you need something to hold you over til the jumpoff, here’s an audio file by Kenna featuring one of our favorite MCs, Nas.
