Yesterday, Ingrid Newkirk, the president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals announced that she had invited embattled Atlanta Falcons star Michael Vick to the PETA offices to talk and to take a course on “empathy for animals“. After meeting with PETA several times privately, Vick completed the course, which Newkirk is hoping will be adopted for all players in the NFL. They also accepted Vick’s apology but maintain their stance he should do jail time.
