In Part One of our exclusive Sucker Free Blog interview with Ghostface, he offers his thoughts on the new Wu-Tang Clan album, 8 Diagrams:
“I feel that the new Wu-Tang album is bullsh*t. Coming from nine individuals, 10 individuals. But it’s not really our fault. Rza chose a certain selection of beats and he wanted brothers to get busy off that. Nobody else make beats in there, so that gotta come from him…. To be so highly anticipated, he should have waited and came with a mega bomb and it did it right.”

Damn… well I mean it aint like he lying. I respect Ghost cuz he has worked his ass off to establish himself outside of the Wu.

This is way outta character for Ghost to air it out like this. The whole situation with Ghost’s release & the Wu’s release may have something to do with his displeasure. The Wu Album 8 Diagrams is top notch IMO. The Big Doe Rehab is also very good.

Ghost speaking the truth, some of the beats are wack, one sounding like gilligans island and $~$@. there are a few good tracks, but it for building like Forever and 36 Chambers.

The Rza is too damn Hollyhood now. He is so damn busy doing sountracks and acting gigs. He has spread himself too damn thin and the WU is the ones that are hurt. ?$@$$ your beats are wack as hell and they have been this way for a long ass time. Wake the %~~~ up and stop your bullshitting! Nobody is really checking for the Wu these days because of the wack ass beats Rza keeps coming up with. It isn’t that they don’t have the lyrics because they do. It is the candy ass beats that turn off the public. So get your ?$#@ together son!

D8 just aint right, talking about wack beats that are actually annoying to listen to. this album aint comming hard at all, it got that slow flow, the whole vibe is depressing.

Stop being so stupid, ghost just wants to sell more album than the wu, only because is in bif with RZA, but in fact tne new wu album is good ??%% really good. He just won’t win a lot of monney with the wu album, that’s why he diss it.

the wu will never recapture the magic chemistry they with had with o.d.b. just being present and i think thats something that rza refuses to see. i agree with my man that rza’s beats have steadily declined in quality since The W album (some might even say the FOREVER album) and his version of a dope beat sometimes borders on being lame to pure boredom. I think his ego is getting in the way of whats really beneficial to the Clan,outside production. Imagine a Wu album with production from these producers:Havok, DJ premiere, Alchemist, Hi-Tek, Easy Mo Bee, and Dr. Dre. I know it would be expensive to get them all but look at the potential. All in all I think Ghost feels like I feel. Give fans 100% dope Wu albums.

I think that the Wu aint never been the same since ODB’s death. It was mad tragic and %?@~ but if they really wanna remember him, they gotta get back to the basics and re-vamp. Dat means RZA needs to do what’s been workin, not what a bunch of niggas in Cali wanna hear. It’s about CREAM *#~$@
