50 and the G-Unit crew’s new mixtape, Return of the Body Snatchers, drops Monday. It’ll be available for free download at Thisis50.com, and is also being released along with a DVD of ’07’s 5-Borough Tour the following week.

Where’s Young Buck at though? Don’t tell me he couldn’t make it out of Cashville in time for the cover shoot.

NEW Jay-Z Song- “Ain’t I”

If you listen to DJ Clue’s drops, “Ain’t I,” which is produced by Timbaland, is off the upcoming The Blueprint 3 album. But according to Jay’s camp, the song is old and there is no new album in the works. Take it how you want it. You can find the song on DJ Clue’s new mixtape, I Am Legend Part 1, or you can check it out right here.

No doubt about it, it’s a hot joint. Too bad the Roc boy has left the building.

Can The Ruff Ryders Make A Comeback? Swizz Thinks So

The one man band man spoke to Shaheem Reid at MTV News and said,

“I’m bringing the Ruff Ryders back real major in ‘08. It’s gonna be a lot of Ruff Ryders sh– in ‘08. Not taking away from D-Block, not taking away from Bloodline. It’s stamping the brand that started all this sh–. They letting me do whatever I wanna do as the president [of the company]. This is what I wanna do. Do this album, 10 bangers. Trying to get a joint from [Dr.] Dre, Primo [DJ Premier]. We got Dame Grease. All the original producers, everything to make the Ruff Ryder album authentic head-banger hip-hop. I got everybody right now. X just sent me five verses. Trust me. I don’t accept just any X [verses]. You’ll see. This is the real deal. I’m not gonna do it if it’s not the real deal.”

I say, don’t hold your breath. The Ruff Ryders have as many, if not more, problems than Wu-Tang does. Plus the fans don’t care about all that nostalgia. They just want a hit record. Not saying Swizz can’t do it, but I’m skeptical.

RUMOR: Are Jay-Z And Mary J. Blige Working On An Album?

I usually try to stay away from the rumors, but Allhiphop’s got me intrigued. Allhiphop’s Illseed says,

“I heard that Mary J. Blige and Jay-Z might be in talks to do an album. Basically, this is a concept album in the same spirit as Jay-Z’s Best of Both Worlds with R. Kelly. Mary and Jay have worked together in the past for years and years. I think it could be a good deal.”

I support the Jay-Z/Mary J. Blige album movement. I hope it happens. These are two artists who’ve clearly transcended all they can do within the sphere of what hip-hop, r&b and urban music consists of. I imagine that there would be less ego amongst the two than with the botched R. Kelly experiment, and obviously more star power than Bow Wow and Omarion.

Lil Wayne and Natasha Bedingfield?

If you’re a pop fan, you’ve probably heard the original version of Natasha Bedingfield’s “Love Like This,” featuring Sean Kingston. Well, somehow someway, there’s another version of the song, with a more urban appeal, produced by Jim Jonsin, a Miami-based beatsmith known for his work with Pretty Ricky, Pitbull, Trick Daddy, and Bow Wow and Omarion, among others. The new version features an opening verse by none other than Lil Wayne. My guess is that before the original was released the label had a few versions done to see which one they wanted to run with. I like this “urban” version way more.
