I know all the hardcore hip-hop heads have always hated this dude, and most “industry” folks (who in reality don’t matter, but just saying) only tolerated the little fella because he was Brandy’s brother, back when she actually made music and all (seriously, what has she been doing since Afrodisiac). Then came the Kim Kardashian sex tape, and the rumors of him and Lil Kim and Karrine Steffans and a gazillion and one other assorted famous but not so famous chicks.
Me personally, I like Ray J. He just wants to sing. Give him a break. And it’s not like “Wait A Minute” wasn’t a hot joint, at least for like two weeks. Plus I just Wikipedia’d him and found out he was was signed to Elektra Records in 1995! He’s a veteran, and now he’s back with a new multi-album deal on Koch Records. It’s actually a partnership between Shaquille O’Neal’s entertainment company DEJA34 and Ray J’s own Knockout Entertainment. Of all people, Kay Slay will be handling A&R duties for the album. Interesting.
Check out “Sexy Can I” featuring Yung Berg. Apparently the video is already shot and ready to go. Cool.
Ray J’s new album is called All I Feel, and will feature production from Rodney Jerkins, and guest appearances by Snoop Dogg, The Game, and Lil Wayne, among others.
