We knew XXL would come with something special for their 100th issue. It seems fitting that one of the greatest MCs of all time would grace the magazine’s cover for this landmark issue, considering, of course, the fact that Nasir Jones’ upcoming album Ni**er might just be his career defining record. Then again, every album seems to be that album for Nas, and then it never is, so I’m not going to hold my breath. It’s still a hot cover, with a Rich Pryor theme, in case you didn’t catch the reference.
Elliott Wilson goes out with a bang! Hold your head YN, Ego Trip’s Miss Rap Supreme is coming soon enough.
