The Clipse and their Re-Up Gang (Sandman and Ab-Liva) just dropped their new mixtape, We got It 4 Cheap Vol. 3: The Spirit Of Competition. It’s an appetizer before their next full length album, which will be dropping on Sony following the The New York Knicks-like effort that Jive Records gave their ‘06 album, Hell Hath No Fury.
Leading up to to release HHNF, The Clipse were championed by the streets and hipsters alike. But since the album dropped, the attention of pretty much…well… everyone, has shifted to Lil Wayne. He’s stolen the hearts and minds of folks who were once devoted Clipse stans. The Clipse have noticed. And Wayne’s thrown shots, at them in interviews. On the “Re-Up Intro,” Pusha T lets off one of his own at Baby and Wayne, spitting:
“Sorry but I don’t respect who you applauding, little nigga flow but his metaphors boring,
Don’t make me turn daddy’s little girl to orphan, that would mean I’d have to kill Baby like abortion.”
Pusha toldMTV News: “It’s the spirit of competition. Lil man is a small thing. It’s much bigger than him. It’s about a lot of mutha—-as getting over not saying nothing. … We’re doing this sh– to evoke the emotion in the listener.”

the official source for the mixtape. anyway, pusha t touches on a few things on that introi dig. wayne tries to “blueprint” j and the whole baby/wayne dynamic is really strange. i remember the baby/bg dynamic but it never meant all this birdman jr mess or whatever.

Sucker Free should be renamed to N!gger Free and then eliminate the current jackasses that perform on the show. Bunch of untalented monkeys jumping around to music performed by real musicians.

[...] nasty diss on Weezy on the Re-Up Gang Intro, one that shouldn’t be printed here but should be read immediately, and then listened to repeatedly. This one has the potential to make Jay-Z and Nas look like [...]
