Fans who turned out on Friday to see hipster rap acts Kid Sister and The Cool Kids at Flavorpill’s One Step Beyond party at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, were treated to a surprise performance by none other than Kanye West. The Louis Vutton Don surprised everyone in attendance when he hit the stage at the end of Kid Sister’s set to perform the remix to her song “Pro Nails.” He then went on to do his own mini-set, performing “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” “Stronger,” “Good Life,” and “Flashing Lights.” The evening was noteworthy because Kanye has kept a relatively low profile since his mother Donda West passed away in November of last year. The Cool Kids opened for Kid Sister, offering up their unique brand of 90s nostalgia rap, including their hit “Black Mags.”

Kanye’s at the point in his career where he’s just doing what he wants. It’s clearl that he cares more about youhtful hipster ~?~@ than industry @$@@*~@*. For that reason, he will always win.
