DJ Khaled has officially partnered with Def Jam Records to launch his new label called (surprise surprise!) We The Best Music. The first artist set to release a record through the company is a rapper by the name of Ace. For those unfamiliar with Ace, I’ll have some exclusives for you soon.
In a press release, the notoriously animated Khaled said,
“I’m proud to be a member of the Def Jam family. Def Jam has been and still is one of the most important institutions in hip hop AND music as a whole. I am extremely honored and excited to be a partner with them in We The Best Music. I look forward to creating great music and continuing the success. We global….global, we’re international…..international! We The Best Music/Def Jam….get ready for history!!!”
Looks to me like Koch Records lost another one of their acts to the big boys (See: Jim Jones).
