In part 2 of Sucker Free Blog’s exclusive interview with The Knux, Krispy Kreme talks about the difficulty that comes along with being from New Orleans and having to make it as a rapper in Los Angeles.

Krispy says: “….These rappers get stuck in their environment. We’re from New Orleans [living in LA], so we step out our environment. They get stuck in their environment because that’s where they feel comfortable. Even the rappers that don’t live in their cities, they stay in their region. You got rappers that may be from Atlanta, they might not live in Atlanta but they live in Miami. So they try to stay in that comfort zone. They’ll never step out of that comfort zone because they’re not the man outside of that comfort zone. Why you think less rappers live in LA and mostly live in the South? Cause it’s cheap to live in the South, and they can buy a bunch of Benzs and be the man in the South. But you come to LA, you can’t be the man. Everybody’s the man…. Everybody’s got money. Everybody’s got a Benz, everybody’s got a BMW… So you gotta more than show material worth and the things you can buy.”
