T
he innanet is all abuzz after the G.O.O.D. music camp leaked a 30-second snippet of the Louis Vuitton Don’s new single “Can’t Tell Me Nothin’” but what everyone doesn’t know is that Kanye is about to drop a mixtape by the same name featuring the full-length version of that song, snippets from his new album, Graduation, exclusive freestyles and remixes and songs from Common’s new LP Finding Forever.
Not satisfied with just running this rap ish ‘Ye genre-hops– lending raps to remixes of T-Pain’s “Buy You A Drank”, Ne-Yo’s “Because Of You” and then goes all Swedish-electronic-pop-rock spitting over Peter, Bjorn and John’s hipster hit “Young Folks.” We also get a preview of “Stronger” a sure-shot summer hit that flips Daft Punk’s Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” into a club-banger. No, seriously. His boob-happy take on Rich Boy’s “Throw Some D’s” also makes the cut and ‘Ye takes even further Down South with a crazy posse cut featuring Lil’ Wayne, Pimp C, and celebrity man-servant-made-good, Fonzworth Bentley.
Oh and that bugged out cover image? That was designed by legendary Japanese artist Takashi Murakami (the same guy who gave us Louis V luggage print in fruity colors a couple years ago). The image is his take on Jesus, as in Jesus Christ. Kanye loved the image so much that he’s been spotted wearing a new pendant based on the design. So his Japnese Jesus walks with him, diamond-encrusted and dangling from his neck. You gotta love that ‘Ye.
